The next-generation Android version could feature better dimension which is very thin and very sleek, comfortable and lightweight feeling , edge-to-edge display for thinner bezel and maximum screen usage; improved network coverage and compatibility across the globe and enhanced battery life and standby.
Android 4.4 is the newest Operating System with a new linux kernel probably running on the next-generation Nexus 5. Three very interesting things are:-

Google’s main task to minimize the fragmentation of Android devices is by unifying the OS version running on all of them. Android Jelly Bean did not solves the problem unfortunately due to hardware requirements.
The requirements is especially to old models with 512 MB RAM and single-core processor. According to the report of Android Central , 4.4 KitKat version may bring a new Linux kernel to support lower RAM.

Google is going to launch the Android 4.4 together with the Google Nexus 5 in October ,2013 demonstrating the next-generation Android Operating System.
Google Nexus landed in the market on the fourth quarter of 2011 based on the tradition of Google on the Nexus line and the LG Nexus 4 arrived in stores on November . Android 4.4 KitKat is the newest Operating System that probably running on the next-generation Nexus 5.
